About Game
Bacterial Swarm drops you into a microscopic battlefield where a biologist's engineered cell holds the line against endless swarms of evil microbes. The cell auto-fires spores at nearby enemies, so the core challenge is pure movement — weaving through escalating waves while collecting nutrient orbs to level up. Every level-up offers a choice of three upgrade cards: boost the main cannon or add new bacterial weapons like orbiting phages, infectious clouds, and predatory bacteria. Every few waves a boss arrives, each with its own deadly mechanic. Defeat it, bank biomass, and spend it between runs on permanent upgrades and combat antibodies. Deep progression wrapped in an addictive survivors-like action loop.
How to play
On desktop, the cell follows your cursor by default — click to toggle cursor-follow on or off. Move with WASD or the arrow keys. On mobile, use the on-screen joystick. Weapons auto-fire at the nearest enemies, so the main task is dodging the swarm. Collect nutrient orbs to fill the level-up bar. When leveling up, pick one of three upgrade cards using the mouse or keys 1, 2, or 3. Press ESC to pause. The longer the run lasts, the more biomass accumulates for permanent upgrades.

FAQ
Does Bacterial Swarm have permanent progression between runs?
Yes. Biomass banked by defeating bosses and surviving waves carries over between runs and can be spent on permanent upgrades and combat antibodies.
How do boss encounters work?
A boss appears every few waves, each with its own distinct deadly mechanic. Defeating it rewards biomass used for permanent upgrades.
How many weapons can you pick up in a run?
Each level-up presents three upgrade cards to choose from — options include boosting the main cannon or adding new bacterial weapons such as orbiting phages, infectious clouds, and predatory bacteria. The run is endless, so the number of upgrades grows the longer you survive.
